Privacy policy

Last updated

Code Stoa has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no cookies. You can read every lesson without telling us who you are.

On your device

What the site keeps in your browser

Two things are saved in your browser’s local storage, and only there: your light or dark theme choice, and which lessons you have finished and read last, so the site can suggest what to read next. Neither is ever sent to us. Clearing your browser’s site data removes both.

Hosting

What our host sees

The site and its videos are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don’t use that data to identify or profile you. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Email

If you write to us

Messages to support@codestoa.com or feedback@codestoa.com reach the author’s inbox. We use your address only to reply, and never share it or add it to a mailing list.

YouTube

Our YouTube channel and the YouTube API

Code Stoa publishes its videos to its own YouTube channel with a small tool that uses YouTube API Services. It signs in only to the Code Stoa channel, and uses that access to upload our videos and set their titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions and playlists. It doesn’t read, store or share data about viewers or any other YouTube account.

Watching our videos on YouTube is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Access granted to the tool can be revoked at any time from Google account connections.
